Rebecca Sullins

I had to send you a note to let you know the WONDERFUL progress Rebecca has made the last couple of weeks due largely to the WmegaTrac®!
For the last three days, (and the first three days in her lifetime) Rebecca has been able to get herself up out of bed into the chair, and transfer on her own COMPLETELY ............... several times a day. (I don't even go into her room - I just stand back and listen in case she needs help!)
The capability is due largely to the chair being low to the floor, and her being able to raise the front and back separately. Janet - thanks for the tip on leaving the back pumped up, and then raising the front - it does help her to transfer. As well, it is so stable without moving at all that she trusts it and she isn't as afraid that it will move as she was with her other chair.
I know that all disablities are different, but this has been one of my greatest desires for Rebecca personally to be able to be more independent. Of course as she & I both are getting older - and as she is interested in getting a part time job these skills make the difference in her being able to be out by herself.
Also, both of her sisters help me with Rebecca, and we kind of have a schedule - they can't believe she doesn't need their help! Rebecca has learned by now to drive the chair without a problem, and everytime we are out and she is able to lower the chair and go right under a restaurant table, we really appreciate the capability she has with the WmegaTrac®. She isn't going off curbs and daring like Jimmy, but she is certainly having fun!
I hope you are all doing well, and that you are blessed every day of your lives for the contributions you make to others.
Thanks & God Bless you All!
