ΩmegaTrac®
ΩmegaTrac® the Flagship of TEFTEC's fleet, is a front-wheel-driven transmission-steered powered wheelchair base with automotive 3-inch vertical travel suspension on all four wheels. It is an extremely rugged unit that was designed to be very long-lived. It has a lifetime frame warranty and 5-year drive train warranty. When backed against a wall, it is 36.3 inches to the control box cover. The feet and footrests go in front of the cover to define the overall length, starting at 43 inches with small footplates, that can be fit in an elevator while backing in. Driving forward into an elevator adds 5 inches because of the caster trailing instead of leading, giving a minimum forward driving length of 48 inches. Narrowest powerbase width is 24.5 inches and takes up to 17-inch wide seats between the fenders. Next is 26.5 inches, which takes up to 19-inch wide seats between the fenders and 28.5 inch that takes up to 21-inch wide seats between the fenders. When using optional 4.00 x 8 high flotation tires, add 2 inches to these widths.

Dual wheel set up is 31 inches wide with seats up to 15 inches wide fitting between the fenders. Nominal seat height is 17.5 at the hips with seats between the fenders. This can have seat pan heights as low as 16 inches with adjustable suspension. This ultra low seat pan height typically allows the user to place their feet flat on the floor while seated, and together with 5 degree anterior tilt from the Air Suspension, allows easier pivoting transfers. The seat mounting bracket system allows higher seating positions as well as anterior, posterior, and sideways tilted seat mounting. Lateral offset can be applied to the seat position when the user's center of gravity is laterally displaced inn their normal seated position.

When seats are too wide to fit between the fenders, the seating height is 1-1/2 inches higher. Custom seats can be made to any width. Seating can be moved fore and aft several inches in 3/4-inch steps. This allows adjustment of the seated user's center of gravity to achieve the best balance between ascending and descending of steep grades. Safety dictates adjusting the center of gravity in favor of descending anti-tipping which is the most aft-wise or rearward location that is practical. Deck height is nominally 15.5 inches at the hips. With adjustable suspension, the range is 12.5 to 15.5. Ground clearance is nominally 4 inches. With adjustable suspension, the range is 1 1/2 to 5 inches. It is available with a tow hitch for country use or a carrier rack for hauling. Fixed or add-on dual wheels or 6.25 inch-wide tires are available for extra floatation and more carrying capacity. Powerbase Weight is 333 with batteries, plus seating. Carrying capacity goes up to 400 pounds with custom options. Pulling force is dependent on gearing and weight of driver and seat.

Grades up to 3 times the ADA maximum of 8% can be navigated up, down, and sideways if caution is used. This can be affected by gearing selected, individual seat location and type, weight of user, width selected for main wheels, and other variables.

Half-ton loads can be towed if geared properly on relatively flat ground. Optional tow hitch is 1-inch diameter with a tractor clip pin. Towing of heavy loads on sloping grades is not recommended.
